1 Mercy Connection • February/March 2012 February/March 2012 continued next page WMW CLT: 2011– A Year to Remember From the West Midwest Community Leadership Team The year 2011 was filled with both joy and heartache. As we welcomed new members into different phases of incorporation, we also grieved the loss of sisters and associates, relatives and friends. We all experienced the loss of our beloved president Sister Norita Cooney. While the first three years were spent building infrastructure, this past year was focused on building relationships -- bringing groups together, meeting with others, and visiting sisters, associates, companions and staff across the United States. We also made progress on implementing our Leadership Team Agenda, especially refounding religious life and enlivening our ministries Our plans for 2012 include the Gathering on June 21-25 where we will engage the Community in faithsharing and contemplation of our future together through a variety of rituals and t Less
