FEVER PITCH - MANDELA BAY’S CUP RUNNETH OVER. Nelson Mandela Bay is gearing up for a feast of soccer and the prospect of hosting Bafana Bafana in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2013. The draw for the 16-team Africa football showpiece was made in Durban in late October and as one of the four seeded teams, South Africa was drawn in Group A alongside Cape Verde Islands, Angola and Morocco. The quarter-final in Port Elizabeth on Saturday the 2nd of February will pit the winner of group B, which comprises Ghana, Mali, Niger and DR Congo against the runner-up from Bafana's Group A. Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has expressed his delight with the draw but cautioned that he remains wary of all three Group A opponents.
