Gender equality and women’s empowerment are two sides of the same coin.
Both have multiple dimensions that
together yield a wide variety of indicators.
Gender equality India assesses the extent to which the country has
installed institutions and programs to enforce laws and policies that promote equal access for men and women in
education, health, the economy, and protection under law.
Gender inequality in India damages the physical and
mental health of millions of girls and women across the globe, and also of boys and men despite the many
touchable benefits it gives men through resources, power, authority and control.
