VAO, Positive Steps Oldham, Peacemakers and the University Campus Oldham have been working with the British Council on an Active Citizens programme. This work looks at the contributions that young adults can make in their communities and encourages crosscultural exchanges and partnerships. There is a strong community cohesion focus with participants working together in Oldham and with the other programmes across the world. 15 young adults from Oldham visited Mirpur (Pakistan) and participants from Pakistan have just visited Oldham at the end of March. Participant Nazam Azam said, As a British Kashmiri I had certain expectations from
